A DRINKER caught brief fell 100ft right into a quarry after popping behind a bush to have a wee.

Kitchen fitter Tom Beard, 19, was having a beer with buddies in a subject at 1am when he ran to some hedges to reply the decision of nature.

Tom didn’t realise there was a chalk cliff on the opposite facet and fell 100ft right into a quarry[/caption]

Tom managed to seize a department and broke his fall 30ft from the quarry flooring.

He clung on for greater than two hours with two smashed vertebrae, a collapsed lung, 5 damaged ribs and a sprained ankle till firefighters arrived to rescue him in Chatham, Kent.

Tom stated he felt fortunate to be alive — however was distraught at dropping his new £160 Armani mesh trainers within the fall.


He added: “One minute I used to be dashing for a wee and the following I fell. I had no concept what was occurring as I didn’t have a torch.

“I used to be smashing my head, again and legs all the best way down then managed to wrap my legs spherical a tree. The ache was unreal.

“I’ll be extra cautious about the place I’m going for a wee in future.”
